Book Signing
À Montréal
In case you haven't been checking my pearlpirie.com you may have missed the news: The jury has selected footlights by Pearl Pirie for inclusion in this year’s AELAQ / QWF Holiday Book Fair and Salon du Livre stand. The festival runs Nov 13-28.
I will be doing a book signing in Montreal at the Salon du Livre, Palais des congrès 2021 from 7-8pm on Sat Nov 27th.
(Their site is entirely in French, sorry I'm also listed as French speaking. Puis, je peux parle un peu de poésie.) Tickets.
Tell me I'm not off my rocker? We are packing 8 masks. And lots of hand sanitizer. We're staying at a hotel that promises a 72 hour gap between room uses. Naturally we because I could get lost in a wet paper sack so my navigator (and our dog) are coming. Montreal is Mr. Bean's puppyhood town. The draw of good Paris-Brest keep me brave.
Recap and Upcoming
What else? VERSeFest 2021 is over. That was pretty intense. You can watch the videos of zoom chats and from livestreaming. The Factory Lecture Series was good food for thought. The Director's Choice was good. For the first time there was a volunteer showcase.
As ever you can catch news at Patreon, more news if you become a patron for a dollar or two or more a month. As a sort of selected works, I've been running poem bits at Instagram.
Watch social media at Knife Fork Book for announcements of a reading a month from now. I'll be part of the merry solstice reading crew as part of the launch of Not Your Best 2. On zoom.
As usual I'm composing and editing. Just for kicks I'm going to see if I can complete 4 manuscripts inside of 3 years. I was done one twice, but I've torn that apart again so...that's how it goes.
Stay well. Breathe through.
